Participants vary in age, race and experience, from the happily retired to the young families, the Tweed Run has cemented itself as a unique and beautiful event, not only celebrating the material Tweed but the era of which it was popularised.

Starting in February 2009, the Tweed Run grew and grew from 300 participants in 2009, to almost 1000 in 2025.

A fun, quirky event where participants dress in their finest tweed garments and cycle through London, garnering attention from the public, participants are applauded and given cheers and woos as they cycle through the streets.

The People.

The attendees of The Tweed Run dress to the 9s, in their finest tweed clothing, they smiled and posed for the camera as I walked around. Some participants I spoke to said that this was their first time attending and that they have been waiting for years to finally get a chance to dress fancy and cycle around London.

They come London and beyond to participate in this fun, fancy and quirky day out.
